PRESS RELEASE – OLLIE'S MEDIA REPORT

A media campaign was conducted for the Ollie Recycles Program leading up to and after the launch on the 5^th June 1997. 

The following media was achieved;

TELEVISION

Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Channel 10 Monday 5th May Healthy, Wealthy & Wise is a lifestyle program that appeals to a wide audience ranging from children to adults. The program is aired in a top rating time slot and is viewed by 1.4 million people each Monday night. Healthy, Wealthy & Wise aired a 5 minute story about the concept of Ollie recycles, how it was developed, who was involved and where the CD ROM will be distributed.   Cheez TV Channel 10 Tuesday 24th June 7.00am This kids cartoon program is popular amongst children from ages 5-14.  Cheez TV airs every week day morning and features cartoons and children's interest stories. Cheez TV interviewed John O'Shea for a series of a 1 minute segments spread throughout the program. Cheez TV created an Ollie world on screen. John took viewers through the different interactive games on the CD ROM.   Couch Potato ABC TV Sunday August 8.30am Couch Potato airs every Sunday morning and interest children from ages 7-15. This program features kid's    crazes, books, movies and CD ROMs. The Ollie Recycles CD ROM review was aired in August. Ollie Recycles was reviewed on screen by a child who described the different elements to the CD ROM.
