Tomorrow’s Leaders for Sustainability (TLfS)

On the 25th June 2007 Jane Stewart, Executive Producer of the Ollie Suite of Programs, together with Pat Armstrong, a leading Australian Facilitator in Sustainability Education, launched the pilot of a new project titled Tomorrow’s Leaders for Sustainability.

This new initiative aims to help young people understand and appreciate the key principles and issues of sustainability while also gaining the knowledge and skills to become leaders in their chosen career.  The program’s training in sustainability leadership is based on a holistic and interactive approach to learning that respects the student’s prior experience, knowledge and skills.

The objective is to help young people understand the world around them while also helping them develop the ability to think for themselves, communicate their thoughts and feelings, act on their own beliefs and help others act in an ethical and socially responsible way.

The pilot of this new initiative was launched with students from Princes Hill Secondary College in Melbourne.  It will soon be supported by its own online forum, but until this is developed, all news in regards to this initiative will be housed on the Ollie’s World website.

The new TLfS website has now been launched.
