Ollie incorporated into Waste Wise Program in Western Australia
The Waste Wise Program in Western Australia offers a full-day professional
development workshop, followed 3 months later by a half-day follow up session.
Workshops are free with $200 towards teacher release for the full-day workshop
and $100 for the half-day follow up.
Workshops cover the following issues;
- Why waste is an important environmental issue,
- How to plan, implement and maintain projects such as recycling,
composting and worm farming,
- Getting the most from available resources,
- Links between waste projects and the Curriculum Framework, and
- Planning the first steps towards waste minimisation.
The Ollie Saves the Planet CD ROM will be given out to all teachers
attending these workshops. For more information about these workshops
