Closing the loop
The collection of recyclable materials is only useful if we find ways
to use this material in new products. By developing new products made
from recycled content, and then selling these products to people, we
“close the loop” in the recycling process.
A material hasn’t been completely “recycled” if it has just been put
out for kerbside collection. It is not until it is has been made into
a new and useful product or material and then sold again that this recycling
process has been completed.
