Making your own Worm Farm

1. A worm farm can be made from almost any container that does not rot quickly. Line your container with newspaper, to stop the ingredients getting out, and making a mess.

2. Spread 5cm of compost into the container. If you don’t have any, your worms can live in newspaper instead. The newspaper needs to be torn into strips, scrunched up and dampened. Worms need some grit in their tummies to eat, so add some soil and spread it through. This compost or newspaper is called “bedding”.

3. Add some water to keep your worm farm moist but not wet.
