Making your own Worm Farm, continued

4. Add the worms. You can buy worms from breeders - there are special compost worms which will work better then others. Add the compost worms onto the top of your pile. They will creep into the bedding to get away from the light.

5. A worm bin needs a good cover to keep the moisture in. Use a few layers of hessian or a piece of carpet felt.

6. Feed your worms. They can eat all sorts of scraps as long as it comes from plant matter. Compost worms prefer kitchen scraps except orange and lemon peel.
