Air pollution in the United States

The United States produces one of the highest amounts of carbon dioxide per person in the world. One of the reasons for this is that most American families have at least one car, and we tend to use our cars often.

Another reason is that a lot of the electricity we produce comes from burning fossil fuels, and we are one of the highest users of electricity per person in the world too.

Global warming is a worldwide problem and as Americans, we must do our bit by conserving energy and rethinking how we use transport to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we produce.
