Reusing household goods

Many things you have in your house can be reused by other people if you have finished using them and they are in good condition. Take these objects to the following places in your community:

Thrift stores and charity stores - Clothes, shoes, blankets and towels, furniture, household goods and appliances in working condition.

Antique and furniture stores - Furniture and household bric-a-brac.

Some objects can be taken to companies and traded in for newer models. This means you get an updated model of the product. The company either repairs and resells your old model or uses its parts for repairs. You can often trade in:

  • Vacuum cleaners;
  • Refrigerators and other large appliances;
  • Computers;
  • And even your family car.
