Recycling Containers and Waste Receptacles

Many local governments throughout America have curbside collection programs, but not all of them use the same collection containers. Some use boxes, bins or carts, while others use bags. In areas that don’t have curbside collection, there are often community recycling drop-off containers at grocery store parking lots and other community locations, where you can drop off your recyclables. Some states have container deposit or redemption programs in which you bring cans and bottles to a retailer or a redemption center. Have a look at the different recycling containers below, to see if you can recognize which ones are used in your neighborhood.
