Second edition launched in Ohio

The second edition of the made for USA Ollie Saves the Planet Program will be launched today at the Ohio State Sustainable Development Conference in Aurora Ohio. This new edition has been made possible through the support of the Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, a new sponsor of the program.

The Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention is responsible for implementing statewide waste reduction, recycling, recycling market development and litter prevention programs across Ohio. In addition this division assists in implementing Ohio's Solid Waste Management Plan and encourages Ohioans to reduce waste, recycle materials and buy recycled-content products.

The new Ollie Saves the Planet Program will become a feature in the waste education programs across the state of Ohio and delivered by a number of county waste educators.
