National Recycling Coalition (NRC)The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing and improving waste reduction, recycling, composting, and reuse in the United States. Founded in 1978, the NRC has over 4,500 members - including recycling and environmental organizations; large and small businesses; individuals; and federal, state and local governments. The Coalition, based in Washington, DC, provides technical information, education, training, outreach, and support to its members. It also educates and informs the public on selected recycling issues, shapes public and private policy on recycling and operates programs that encourage recycling markets and economic development.
