PRESS RELEASE  - OLLIE RECYCLES IS LAUNCHED IN THE UK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Melbourne, Vic and London, UK (November 11, 1999)

Junior Environment Minister Chris Mullin was the guest of honour today at the official UK launch of the Ollie Recycles Programme held at SubCyberia Internet Café in the West End of London.

Attended by representatives of those organisations who provided financial and/or technical support for the UK version, the event also saw representatives from the following publications.

Materials Recycling Week
BBC Learning is Fun
Teacher Update
Cybernet TV Programme

Junior Environment Minister Chris Mullin, was quoted as saying, the Ollie Program is "a most progressive piece of work which I'm sure will help make the world a better place."

"Ollie demonstrates that recycling can be fun. Because the CD-ROM is made in such a brilliant way, the message is far more likely to make an impact with kids. They're the future - they influence their parents."
