Ollie helps celebrate Ficifolia Festival

In 2008, the Ficifolia Festival celebrated the 20th festival held in the township of Drouin. The festival is most popular with the local and wider community offering an array of diverse events. The theme for the 2008 Festival was “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”.

In keeping with this theme, Ollie was a guest at two special Festival events.
On the Friday night, an opening concert was held at Civic Park and Ollie wandered through the crowd helping raise awareness of the issue of environmental sustainability. Luckily Ollie was gone before a thunderous and spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky.

On the Saturday morning The Ficifolia Festival street parade took over the main street of Drouin and Ollie complimented the message and fitted in with the many local primary school groups displaying their awareness of the importance of the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” theme.
