Ollie attends Australian Geography Teachers Association Conference
The biannual AGTA Conference was held from the 8 th – 12 th January 2006 in Launceston, Tasmania. It was a great event with geography teachers from all over Australia attending.
The new Ollie’s Island Program was presented at the conference to the great delight of those who attended. With much of the program’s content relevant to the subject of geography, many of the teachers were excited at the thought of using the program in their classroom activities.
Although the program’s content is mainly aimed at secondary students, some primary school teachers could also see its relevance for their classroom lessons and activities.
