Ollie helps kids understand sustainability issues

According to Nicole Deayton, Teacher at the Toohey Environmental Education Centre in Queensland, Ollie's Island and Ollie Saves the Planet perfectly complement their 'Sustainable Futures' program.  Like the Ollie program their Future program introduces students to the four key areas of sustainable living: water, energy, waste and biodiversity.

The Toohey EEC has a bank of computers for the students to do a range of activities, including 'Ollie'. Nicole says; “The students particularly enjoy the interactive nature of the CD ROMs. The programs are so easy to use that the students are able to navigate their way around with very little teacher guidance.”
