Fish – Renewable or Non-renewable Resource?Fish are an important natural resource. They provide food for billions of people around the world, and there seems to be an endless supply - or is there? Fish populations that are managed carefully are considered a renewable resource. This is because fish can reproduce. So, even if some are caught, there will be new baby fish to grow up and replace them. However, many fish populations are getting smaller and smaller because they are caught in large numbers, and can’t reproduce fast enough to replace themselves.
