Reduce Activities
Reducing the thickness of aluminium used to make can bodies and ends
has resulted in an overall reduced net weight of the aluminium cans we
produce. This has the benefits of:
- Reducing the amount of raw materials and natural resources that go
into each can
- Reducing the amount of packaging waste from each can.
This table shows the weight of cans and the number of cans made from
one kilogram of aluminium, for years between 1994 and 1998:
