Ollie Saves the Planet - Launch 22 July 2002


Ollie and kids at the launchThe worldwide launch of Ollie Saves the Planet has started. The Australian Program was launched to musical fanfare at the Melbourne Zoo as Ollie and his rap-dancing friends sang the Ollie rap song.

Dr David Kemp, Minster for the Environment and Heritage, spoke about the importance of environmental education and performed the launch ceremony.

Eric Philips, professional polar explorer, described his experiences - including waste management in sub-zero temperatures.

Jane Stewart, Executive Producer of the Ollie Programs, demonstrated the CD content and outlined the educational principles behind it.

Ollie and his rap-dancing friends enjoyed themselves! Dr Kemp, Jane Stewart and Peter Broadbent join in the action.
