PNEB - Frank Kelett, Executive Director
"The Publishers National Environment Bureau, which represents
Australia's major newspaper and magazine publishers supports the
Ollie Saves the Planet project as part of its work to promote effective
recovery and recycling of old newspapers and magazines and as part
of its aim to lift the level of Australian newspaper recovery to
74 per cent by the end of 2005.
The Bureau's work with governments and the community (through schools
and Local Government) has seen the Australian rate grow from 28
per cent in 1990 to 72.4 per cent, a world-leading figure, in 2001."
Sensis - Justin Lyster, Environmental Manager
"Sensis is delighted to be associated with the launch, and
its ongoing support, of the Ollie Saves the Planet program - an
initiative that supports many of its own environmental management
objectives.
The Sensis 'Book Muncher®' Directory Recycling Initiative is
one example of the company's many positive environmental programs.
Launched over 10 years ago, it gives Australians the opportunity
to contribute to environmental sustainability by recycling their
old Yellow Pages® and White Pages® directories.
Today, the ways in which adults and children can support and learn
about environmental management are virtually unlimited. Now, through
the Ollie Saves the Planet program, children around the world can
extend their knowledge of ecological sustainability and its related
issues in a fun and entertaining way."
V-Communications - Frank van Gilluwe, President
"V Communications is pleased to be associated with Ollie Saves
the Planet. Providing Web Easy Express for this excellent cause
allows us to give back something to the community. By teaching our
children how to recycle and re-use, we are ensuring future generations
a safe and clean environment. We are excited about the Australian
kick-off and can't wait until the United States kick-off later this
year!".
