Waste

At Australia Post, we have introduced a major awareness program to encourage staff to consider good environmental behaviour as just a normal part of their daily lives - both at work as well as at home.

We encourage all our staff to:

• Reduce the amount of materials they use.
• Reuse materials instead of buying more, whenever possible.
• Recycle their waste. We have introduced a major recycling program for most of the materials which previously went to landfill, including a large amount of recyclable paper and cardboard waste.
• Purchase the environmentally friendly alternative when all other factors are equal.
