Water Activities
National
Water Week is a week set aside by Australia's water authorities to:
- Promote water conservation and water-related issues;
- Educate the community on the importance of water to all people and
the environment;
- Draw a focus on year-round activities on these issues.
Throughout National Water Week, City West Water promotes 'water wise'
behaviour through a range of conservation, environmental protection, water
quality and water safety activities. In 2002, National Water Week will
be celebrated from 20-26 October.

Sensitive Sites Register
The Sensitive Sites Register is a set of maps that highlight heritage,
cultural and environmental sites of value across City West Water's service
area. City West Water uses these maps as a guide when planning new assets
or maintaining old assets, so as not to impact adversely on these areas.
The Sensitive Sites Register assists City West Water in protecting remnant
grassland and known habitat of endangered species within its service area.

Colin Reiter, Manager Network Services discusses a potential heritage
site at the Maribyrnong River with Wurundjeri Tribe representative, Shannon
Garvey and Jenny Tulloch of Biosis Research.
