Our Volunteers

Through hard work and loyalty the 1,000 Family Stores staff and volunteers have made Family Stores a successful business which helps the environment and the community.

It has grown to become the largest retailer of recycled goods in Australia. It is little wonder that between 250,000 and 300,000 people make a purchase at Family Stores each month.

Staff recognise our 'Valuable Volunteers' by celebrating Volunteer Week. At this time recognition and awards functions are held in each State.

Family Stores continues to place importance on providing staff at all levels with the appropriate training for their work. Recently workshops have been held on:

• Greater safety in the work place
  
• Housekeeping and improving the appearance of our stores
  
• Collection and security of donations.

The success of Family Stores is also due to the generosity of our donors as well as special projects run with specific groups to generate donations.
