There are also some national organisations that have local groups in communities all over Australia. Contact any of these organisations to find out about groups you can join and events you can participate in, in your area:

• Keep Australia Beautiful - including the Adopt-a-Road, Tidy Towns and Clean Beach Challenge programs.
  
• Clean Up Australia Day
  
• Coastcare, Landcare, Bushcare and Rivercare
  
• Earth Day Network

If there isn't an organisation around that covers your interest, why don't you create one yourself! Get people interested by putting up notices around your school and neighbourhood, and on community noticeboards.
