As our economy grows, Australians are using more energy each year. While we need gas, electricity and other forms of energy, we also need to look after our environment by not over using precious energy. The trick is to do more with less.

At Origin Energy, we encourage wise energy use by:

• Giving more information to our customers about better energy use;
  
• Improving our own energy use;
  
• Increasing the use of fuels that are better for the environment such as natural gas and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG);
  
• Increasing the use of electricity from renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar and hydro.

A highly energy efficient cogeneration worksite at Bulwer Island in Brisbane. This worksite saves energy use by producing electricity from natural gas and converting the 'waste' heat into useful steam.
