Basell in the Community

Basell participates in the Responsible Care ® program, run by the Plastics and Chemical Industries Association, of which the company is a leading member.

An important component of Responsible Care ® is the 'Community Right to Know' program, which gives the public 24 hour access to information about the company's operations, products and performance in the area of safety and the environment. Community liaison meetings are another important part of the program.

In addition, Basell participates in industry open days, supports local school and tertiary education initiatives and runs Employee Safety Incentive Schemes that encourage improved workplace safety and raise funds for community health services.
