Introduction, continued

We have received a number of important awards over recent years as recognition of our environmental achievements. These include:Chairman Don Swan accepts 2001 Banksia Environmental Award

  • Finalist for four successive years in the prestigious national Banksia Foundation Environmental Awards. Winner of the 2002 Banksia 'Corporate Responsibility & Leadership' category. 2001 winner of the Banksia Foundation Environmental Award, for excellence in promoting community environmental awareness in waste minimisation and water conservation.   • United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) World Environment Day City of Melbourne Award for Environmental Best Practice Program for the second successive year. This award "seeks to recognise the endeavours of those companies which support new ideas and produce new standards and acknowledge those business leaders who actively demonstrate an awareness of their environmental responsibilities".
